The closer you live to the city center the more expensive the properties, the further out you live the less expensive.

Interstate 495 (I-495) highway in Maryland. I-495 is also known as the Capital Beltway, and it encircles Washington, D.C., connecting Maryland and Virginia suburbs.

In Maryland, I-495 runs from the American Legion Bridge over the Potomac River in the west to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge over the Potomac River in the east. It passes through or near several key areas including Bethesda, Silver Spring, College Park, and Greenbelt.

The highway is a vital transportation corridor for commuters, travelers, and freight traffic in the region. It also intersects with other major highways such as Interstate 270, Interstate 95, and Interstate 66, facilitating movement within the metropolitan area and beyond.

Due to heavy traffic congestion, especially during rush hours, various improvement projects have been undertaken over the years to alleviate congestion and improve safety along this corridor. These include widening projects, interchange improvements, and the implementation of High Occupancy Toll (HOT) lanes to provide more options for commuters.
