Buying a vacation rental in Maryland? Moving to Maryland? Thinking about owning a vacation rental and renting it out? Location, location, location. How far is too far? Try keeping your travel time within "30 minutes". Remember you need easy access to and from your rental to meet contractors, deal with emergencies, and maintain quality control. Whether it’s you or someone else you ask to check on the property, you want the location to be convenient for all. Remember this is different than "Just a Monthly Rental". I know my neighbors. I have a handful of neighbors that I can trust and and I make myself known in the community. Most importantly I feel safe walking around town and staying in my vacation house.
